The True Story About Tyent And Cheap Ionizers!
The True Story About Tyent And Cheap Ionizers!
Great story from one of our team member friends who bought a Tyent
My Experience With PH Water & Water Ionizers:
I was sold on the science and the benefits of elevating our body’s pH level several years ago.
After doing my own extensive research on the subject, I discussed it with my sister who was both a senior nurse practitioner and a chemist.
She concurred that by whatever method you can raise your body’s pH level from acidic to alkaline, be it through diet or drinking alkaline water, it would be a good thing for maintaining a healthy body.
A few years ago I tried a product called Miracle II Neutralizer which was a high pH solution that typically sold in gallons for 20 some dollars per gallon.
Although I believed in the science and theory behind the product, I never experienced or found any credible evidence that it helped in any way.
As I recently found out about Kangen Water and other ionized alkaline water, I discovered the problem with the Miracle II Neutralizer was that it did not have a low negative ORP (oxidation-reduction potential). Without a low ORP factor the high pH-alkaline and anti-oxidant benefits could not be realized.
So my conclusion was that you had to have both a high pH- alkaline water that also has a low (-300mV to -700mV) ORP.
The other method would be to only eat high alkaline foods, like certain berries, nuts and dark green leafy stuff, and no good stuff at all like meat, fish, poultry and potatoes. It didn’t sound like an appetizing diet to me, so I chose to go the water route.
Sooo, my good friends Steve & Pam Hoyt started to bring me jugs of “Kangen” Water.
After drinking it for a while I quickly saw results. I felt better overall both physically and mentally. I had more energy and was much more mentally astute.
I had had arthritis in one ankle, one knee and one shoulder for years and I noticed that they all improved also.
But perhaps most important to me is the Kangen Water’s potential to benefit my long term health, such as possibly lowering the risk factor for many diseases and sicknesses.
Well, even though my friends would have brought me all the Kangen Water I wanted indefinitely, I decided that I just had to have one of these water machines of my own.
I knew that the Enagic Kangen Water ionizer was expensive, so I did extensive research on alternative (less expensive) ionizer machines.
That turned out to be a huge mistake.
There is an enormous amount of seemingly “unbiased” information, test comparisons (with videos) and supposedly unbiased reviews all over the internet.
The bulk of these reviews compare one or more ionizers to the Enagic Leveluk SD501. They always point out that, although the Enagic ionizer is a great unit, it is over priced due to the MLM compensation plan to their distributors. The truth is that at least several of the other leading ionizer manufacturers have an even steeper compensation plan for their “referral distributors”. I didn’t know any of this at the time of my initial research, so I bought into their claims and “drank the koolaid” so-to-speak.
After all my research, I ended up purchasing a Tyent MMP-7070, their top-line ionizer unit. It had consistently beaten the competition, including Jupiter, Life and, of course, the Enagic.
The Tyent MMP-7070
It was a very sleek looking attractive ionizer which was roughly half the price of the Enagic Leveluk SD501 so I initially thought I had made the right decision.
I set it up and started using it and at first I only had a pH test kit with drops in order to test the machines capability. I didn’t have any means of testing the ORP factor.
The pH test left me wondering because the results were not what I expected, especially in its ability to produce acidic (low pH) water.
I had wanted one any way to also help in maintaining my pool water, so I purchased a Hanna Instruments electronic pH/ORP meter. Extremely accurate.
As I became more and more familiar with the machine I realized how easy it was to skew the results of the ionizer test comparisons, which were supposedly legitimate and unbiased, such as simply lowering the source water pressure for the unit that you want to have the best results. With a little bit of water pressure manipulating, they could have made any one of the machines appear to be the best.
Anyway, I started testing my water with my accurate tester and confirmed my suspicions.
With full tap water pressure, the highest alkaline pH water I could get was 9.0pH with an ORP of -150mV, not very good at all.
The lowest acidic pH (beauty water) that I could get was 7.0pH, which is neutral, not acidic at all. My tap water tested at 7.2pH.
Next, I lowered the water pressure down to the slowest the machine would allow and retested.
The highest alkaline pH I got was 9.65pH.
The lowest acidic pH I got was still only 7.0pH, even with the lowered water pressure.
Oh, and a couple of other notable facts:
1) The water pressure had to be reduced so much to make 9.5pH drinking water that it would take over five minutes to fill a gallon jug.
2) The Tyent machine automatically shuts down after five minutes to prevent overheating. Not so with the Enagic machine.
I contacted “Jim R.” (no last name provided) at Tyent USA who was apparently the one and only tech support person. I informed him of all the test results, along with what method and test equipment I used.
He seemed to think that the numbers were abnormal, so he told me to email him the dates on the two filters in the unit.
I emailed him the filter dates, which were recent, and didn’t get any response from him, so I emailed them to him again. Still no response.
I got that uneasy feeling like he was avoiding me, so I called the tech support number and Jim answered the phone.
At first he seemed surprised that I called him, but then acknowledged getting the email and forgetting about it.After a little resistance, he agreed to send me a new machine and I would return the alleged defective machine.
The new machine arrived and I immediately set it up and re-did all my testing.
Almost identical numbers! Now I’m getting really perturbed and frustrated over this.
I’ve got a water ionizer machine, which is probably not defective at all, that you have run the water pressure at a trickle to get acceptable drinking water and it is totally incapable of producing any acidic water at all. But hey, it sure does look sleek and nice though, doesn’t it?
I called Jim again and he at first tried to blame my source water as the problem and then he asks me “do you really need acidic (beauty) water anyway?”
I informed him that I live in a major city and that there is nothing wrong with the city tap water that I’m using.
At that point I asked him very nicely if I could return the machine and get a refund. I was worried that he would say no due to the fact that my “trial period” had just recently expired. He said that was not a problem and that I could return it, but he pleaded with me to wait 2-3 weeks because Tyent was aware of this problem and they were about to come out with a new “motherboard” for the machine which should fix it. He also assured me that he would extend my trial period.
He just then acknowledged that Tyent was aware of this problem?
I stuck to my guns and said no to the wait, and that I just wanted to return it. I wanted a water ionizer that performed as it was designed and advertised to perform.
He gave in and said okay.
I then made about 12 gallons of water (yea, that took quite awhile) to tide us over for some time and packed up the machine to return it the next day.
We went to dinner with our friends Steve & Pam (Enagic Distributors) and talked about water, ionizers and my frustrating experience with the Tyent machine.
I was already pretty sure the Enagic Leveluk SD501 would perform as expected, but after my experience, I wanted to be sure.
I asked them if they would bring their Enagic machine over to my house where we could accurately test it using my source water, just in case there really was a source water issue as they live in a different part of town than us.
The Enagic Leveluk SD501
So we finished dinner and they went home, loaded up their machine and brought it over to our house.
We ran all the tests and sure as can be, The Enagic performed just as it should and we were all happy that it did.
Sorry about my little puppy nipping your rear end Steve. I guess we should have paid him more attention.
So the conclusion was that there was nothing wrong with my source tap water.
The Tyent ionizer just could not do what it was supposed to do and the Enagic ionizer had no problem.
I guess you really do get what you pay for.
As soon as I confirmed that Tyent was really going to refund my money, I called Steve and Pam and ordered the Cadillac of water ionizers, the Enagic Leveluk SD501.
Tyent did end up issuing a refund, minus a $300 restocking fee.
I just feel badly for all the people who have bought these inferior water ionizers and don’t even realize their machines are not performing as they think they are.
Thank God, I invested in that electronic Ph/ORP tester that I did, or I probably would not have realized it either.
Thank you,
Wade A.

The Dangers of Reverse Osmosis Water
Reverse Osmosis Waters Are Ruining Your Own and Your Family’s Health !
By G. S. Johar
This consumer welfare article is based chiefly on the public interest matter presented at the Press Club of Kanpur ( India ), some time back, under the aegis of CHEMISTRY FOR HUMANITY AND DIVINITY [ CHD ] ( a charitable / consumer society ), to which the author is closely attached.
THE WATER FRAUD
Through the following two lines, the English writer, Miss Sarah Doudney [1843 ?-1926], in her poetry, ‘The Lesson of the Water Mill’, had tried to explain the importance of time that had passed away, and the water that was consumed out.
TAKE THE PROVERB TO THINE HEART, TAKE, AND HOLD IT FAST,
“THE MILL CANNOT GRIND WITH THE WATER THAT IS PAST"
But these days water is being consumed without taking into consideration the consequences befalling thereof. As regards the quality of water, neither the people nor the Governments are serious ; the latter are more guilty in allowing flooding of the market with such packaged bottled waters which are not only being manufactured unscientifically but with the full understanding that such waters will eventually land their regular consumers on hospital bed after some years. At least in India the multinational companies like Coca Cola and Pepsi, through the marketing of their highly dangerous and hazardous waters---KINLEY and AQUAFINA---respectively, are fooling the Indian public with impunity and playing with the health of millions. Despite having no minerals in them, these waters are being sold to them under the artificially-created misunderstanding that these are ‘mineral waters’. An Indian company, ‘KENT R. O.’, is doing the same mischief by promoting its Reverse Osmosis ( R. O. ) instruments in the tens of thousands of houses of middle class and rich people alike. The R.O. instruments ( the so-called ‘Water Purifiers’ ) have the power to bereft the drinking water of all its mineral content, thus turning it a ‘sick’ or ‘naked’ water, that is absolutely unfit for human consumption. Sadly, the popular Indian film actress, Hema Malini and her daughter, by misusing their celebrity power, are also motivating their Indian fans to buy such dangerous instruments for their homes. The author is sure that if Hema Malini and / or her daughter dare to drink such an R. O. water themselves for some years, they will not be able to reach any studio for a film shooting owing to resultant state of osteoporosis ( fragile and porous bones ), diabetes, etc.
After the holding of CHD’s press conference and its coverage in many print and some visual media, the KENT R. O. company gave a befooling modification to its marketing strategy by renaming itself as “KENT MINERAL R.O”., a term which is highly laughable. Why ? Whereas “R. O.” means no minerals, but “MINERAL R. O.” means “minerals-but-no-minerals”, that is equivalent to saying by some one that “My son is a married bachelor”, or “My daughter is a married spinster”. Thus, declaring a product as “Mineral R. O.” is a big nonsense. If you are consuming a good quality water ( having sufficient natural mineral content ) you will surely continue to live a healthy life, otherwise you should be prepared to pay some heavy to very heavy price.
Bottled water has now taken the shape of a big business in every country as it usually tastes better than what comes out of your tap. But is every bottled water "healthy water ?". Not always ! "Is the water you are drinking hard ? Is it moderately high in TDS ( total dissolved solids ) ?" “Does it have a good degree of alkalinity ?”. “Does it contain good amounts of calcium, magnesium, and silica ?”. Most bottled water labels in the India and other countries do not give the information you need to know the answers to these questions. Every bottling company must print the complete water analysis Test Report on the label, but hardly any company does that. People must keep in mind that many bottled waters are simply processed waters mostly using reverse osmosis ( R. O. ) , de-ionization or simple filtration. With over reportedly 700 brands of bottled water available in the US, around 80% are processed water. Same is the situation in India and many other c ountries. For maintaining good health, the consumer must purchase only natural spring or artesian well waters that come closest to the "healthy water" criteria, which says that :
Hardness of water ( as CaCO3 ) should be around 170 mg / Liter ;
Alkalinity ( as CaCO3 ) also around 170 ;
TDS around 300 mg / L ;
Calcium ( as Ca ) around 70 mg / L ;
Magnesium ( as Mg ) around 30 mg / L ; and
Silica ( as SiO2 ) around 10 to 20 mg / L.
De-mineralized water has little or no minerals, and is not only having zero health value, rather it is dangerous for health. This is the result if you use a distiller, a reverse osmosis unit ( R. O ), or de-ionization ( ion exchange resins ). However, the research on heart diseases and cancer shows a healthy water is hard and moderately high in TDS ( total dissolved solids ). Then why do people purchase these de-mineralizing or water softening systems ? Usually their thinking goes something like this : "We know we must drink water to keep ourselves alive, but often it is so polluted with chlorine, chemicals, toxic metals, etc., that it is not safe to drink it as such. So in order to get rid of these harmful moieties we are buying bottled water, and we have also installed an R.O. water purifier in our house”. Creating a "healthy water" means removing the harmful agents but keeping the beneficial minerals. "For the purpose of health, Minerals in drinking water are more easily and better absorbed than minerals in the solid food", according to Dr. John Sorenson, a leading authority on mineral metabolism. But devices like R.O. purifiers remove everything from the water, harmful bacteria ( if any ) as well as beneficial minerals. This mineral-stripped water cannot sustain life even in a fish bowl. Like humans all fish require minerals to prosper, and if allowed to live in R. O. types of waters they will all perish. If this type of water is consumed for long periods of time, it will certainly result in acute deficiency of essential mineral elements like calcium ( Ca ), magnesium ( Mg ), and the precious mineral---silica ( SiO2 ). Hence, mineralized water is needed for all cellular functions of the body, and if there are no minerals in your drinking water your body will try to rob the minerals from some other parts of your body system to satisfy its needs. Mostly the bones and teeth are the worst victims to lose calcium, magnesium, etc. Although we can take mineral supplements to replace them, but it is not easy to replace the minerals in our body with the same speed with which we have lost them.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF YOUR BODY IS DEPLETED OF CALCIUM ?
[ R.O. PURIFIERS FULLY REMOVE CALCIUM FROM WATER ]
(1) Calcium is the most well known osteoporosis-preventing element. It maintains bones and teeth. It also helps in lowering blood pressure in people with hypertension. The regular daily intake ( RDI ) of calcium for adults is around 800 - 1000 mg. The prolonged deficiency of calcium will also cause muscle spasms.
(2) Without calcium the contraction of heart muscles, nerve impulses, blood clotting and wound-healing cannot take place.
(3) Most people get only about half of the amount of calcium they actually need each day. Besides food, water is the best source to provide calcium. And in case if we don’t get calcium even from water, then the entire life process of the man will be at stake.
(4) Without calcium, even the hormones and enzymes that regulate digestion and metabolism cannot be produced in the body.
(5) Drinking calcium-less water will greatly reduce blood calcium, and for carrying out vital functions, the body will try to steal calcium from the bones. Eventually the withdrawals of more and more calcium from the bones will make them highly porous and fragile, thus causing occasional fractures. Tens of thousand of such calcium-deficient people around the world are languishing in hospitals for the treatment of their fractured bones.
(6) Calcium also helps in reducing the irritating effects of BILE ACIDS in the colon, thus reduces the incidence of painful colon cancer.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF YOUR BODY IS DEPLETED OF MAGNESIUM ?
[ R.O. PURIFIERS FULLY REMOVE MAGNESIUM FROM WATER ]
(1) Just like calcium, magnesium is also the most vital element for maintaining good health. The RDI for magnesium is minimum 320 mg for men and 270 mg for women. This element controls around 300 enzyme-related processes in the human body. Many chronic diseases may be prevented or treated by the regular intake of magnesium. The magnesium levels are also easily depleted by stress, or by certain diseases or medication or by intense physical activity.
(2) Magnesium is involved in energy production, nerve function, muscle relaxation and bone and tooth formation. In conjunction with calcium and potassium, magnesium regulates heart rhythm. It also has a role in the production and use of insulin in the body. Researchers at the Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore, USA, have come to the conclusion that those people who have lowest magnesium levels in the body had a 94 % greater chance of developing type-two diabetes ( non-insulin-dependent ).
(3) Recent research indicates that magnesium helps to prevent and treat heart disease. Studies show that the risk of dying of a heart attack is lower in areas with ‘hard’ water, which contains high levels of magnesium. Some researchers speculate that, if everyone drank hard water, the number of deaths from heart attacks might decline by 19 %. Magnesium appears to lower blood pressure, and has also been found to aid recovery after a heart attack by inhibiting blood clots, widening the arteries and normalizing the dangerous arrhythmias.
(4) Magnesium also helps in expanding the airways, which is helpful in treating asthma and bronchitis.
(5) The recommended ratio of calcium and magnesium in the body is 2 : 1. A lack of magnesium can make a work-out harder. Magnesium also eases symptoms of fibromyalgia ( muscle and joint pain ). It also reduces spasms and cramps, and lowers high B.P. too. In women it improves the symptoms of PMS ( Pre-menstrual syndrome ).
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HUMAN BODY IF SILICA ( SiO2 ) IS REMOVED FROM WATER ?
[ R.O. PURIFIERS FULLY REMOVE SILICA FROM WATER ]
[ Silica-free Water Will Gradually Make You Old-Looking, Wrinkled, and Ugly ]
Silica ( SiO2 ) is another natural trace mineral ( ~ 10 to 35 mg / liter ) in the drinking water that strengthens the body's connective tissues – the muscles, tendons, hair, ligaments, nails, cartilage, and bone -- and is also vital for healthy skin. The synthesis of cartilage in human body takes place under the full involvement of silica. That is why silica deficiency can result in reduced skin elasticity, and also hampers the body's ability to heal wounds. Solid food sources of silica include green onion, green beans, strawberries, cucumber, mango, asparagus, beet root, etc. But a large proportion of this ingested silica from these sources is not fully bio-available. Through further research it has also became apparent that healthy people always have higher levels of silica in their blood vessels and other tissues than those suffering from degenerative diseases. When people are young, silica levels in their body are high and their bones and joints are also flexible ; their skin is also pliant, flexible and glowing. But with the growing age of the people, silica levels go on declining, and without adequate tissue levels of silica, the human body manifests many of the symptoms of aging such as joint disease, weakened digestion, and wrinkled skin, etc. The best of all the sources of readily absorbable form of silica is only pure natural drinking water wherein it is present in invisible, soluble colloidal form. The colloidal silica ( present in water as Silicic acid, H2SiO3 ) is much more bio-available to the body because it is absorbed rapidly after a short transit time in blood. The great binding ability of colloidal silica certainly makes it a most useful in the treatment of a whole range of conditions, but perhaps silica’s most exciting and innovative use is its ability to improve the strength and elasticity of the skin, hair, and nails by its direct action on the connective tissue. The colloidal silica in water has the ability to undergo a process of binding with unwanted elements such as viruses, bacteria and inflammatory pathogens, thus rendering them immobile and harmless ! This natural power of silica makes it suitable for wound-healing, as well as preventing to some extent the occurrence of acne vulgaris ( pimples ) and certain other inflammatory conditions. It has been found that the process of reverse osmosis removes 85 – 99 % of the silica content from the water. Up to 10 to 40 mg of silica are also lost from our body every day through excretion, skin shedding, hair cutting, nail clipping, etc. The R. O. technique either substantially reduces or completely eliminate this precious natural mineral—Silica from the water. The normal levels of Silica in direct natural sources of drinking water ( bore-well, well, or spring waters ) are around 10 to 35 milligrams per liter. But waters containing further higher levels ( > 50 mg/l Silica ) are dangerous to health because in that case there is a danger of the formation of Silica-containing kidney stones ( renal calculi ). But pure Silica stones are never formed because drinking waters containing 50 mg or more of silica per liter are very rarely encountered in nature. But, on the contrary, after passing through R.O. instrument, silica levels drop to the alarmingly value of 0 to less than 2 mg / liter, thus turning such a water sample unhealthy, or rather useless, not only for human consumption but for use by animals also. But the water-selling companies are unconcerned. When CHEMISTRY FOR HUMANITY AND DIVINITY [ CHD ] subjected Coca Cola’s Kinley water, and Pepsico’s Aquafina water for silica analysis, both the waters exhibited zero value for SiO2. The “Mount Kailash” and “Natural spring” waters also showed same results.
COCA-COLA ADMITS THAT IT SOLD TAP WATER OF PUBLIC SUPPLY SYSTEM, IN BOTTLES, IN UK, UNDER THE BRAND NAME “DASANI”
A news item on the titled matter was published online on March 4th, 2004, in ‘Common Dreams’ News Center [ Source : http://www.commondreams.org/cgi-bin/print.cgi?file=/headlines04/0304-04.htm ]. It has been found that at least two out of every five bottles of water sold around the world are ‘DASANI’ type tap water only, rather than mineral water originating from some good natural source. The origin of UK's ‘DASANI’ came to light when a complaint was made to the British Food Standards Agency over Coke’s use of the word “PURE” in its DASANI marketing. The word “PURE” is meant that the water has to be processed to make it pure. This strategy also implies that tap water is ‘IMPURE’. Befor the disclosure of Coca Cola’s misdemeanor the DASANI water had a great hit and the company had created seven million pounds marketing value.
COKE AND PEPSI’S FOOLING DRIVE IN INDIA
After fooling the customer in UK, the Coca Cola company is now fleecing and harming consumers in India and elsewhere by selling its deadly harmful water under the brand name of “Kinely”. Adopting similar deceitful tactics, the Pepsi company has launched its dangerous water under the brand name of “Aquafina”. Both “Kinely” and “Aquafina” are virtually slow poisons for the consumers. Both the waters have been analyzed by CHEMISTRY FOR HUMANITY AND DIVINITY ( CHD ) in its laboratory ( KANPUR TEST HOUSE ), and its results are shocking. The chemical analysis of these waters has proved that these are almost de-mineralized or virtually distilled water samples which cannot support life systems of the human body. The TDS value of Kinely is only 12 ( twelve ), and that of Aquafina only 5 ( five ). The required TDS value is ~ 300 mg / Litre. Similarly the total hardness value for Kinely is 12 and for Aquafina, it is 0 ( zero ). The normal value should not be less than 170 mg / Liter. Likewise the calcium content in Kinely and Aquafina both is zero. The Magnesium content in Kinely is 3 mg / Liter and AQUAFINA is 0 ( Zero ). These value suggest that both these waters are poisonous for human health. Those people who are proudly drinking these waters as a ‘lifestyle choice’, are likely to suffer from heart-attacks, diabetes, hypertension, muscle-cramps, etc, in the coming years. Both Coke and Pepsi have declared that their bottled water conforms to I.S. 14543 ( of the Bureau Of Indian Standards ), but very unfortunately for the public, and very fortunately for the Coke and Pepsi companies the specification, I.S. 14543, is so highly defective and useless that even ordinary tap water can fully satisfy its norms and parameters. This specification does not guarantee even the basic minimum requirement of TDS, Total Hardness, Calcium and Magnesium levels, without which the water is bound to create havoc in the human life. If there is no hardness, no TDS, and no Calcium and Magnesium, that sample of water is unfit even for an aquarium. Fish kept in such a water will soon die for lack of these minerals. On account of all these facts and figures, the manufacturing of Kinely and Aquafina water deserve to be banned with immediate effect in all parts of the world. At the same time a specification of I.S. No. 14543 issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards ( B.I.S. ) must also be declared obsolete and outdated. Instead, all bottled waters manufactured in India or in any other country should invariably be of natural ‘Mineral Water Quality’. “The R. O. type packaged drinking water” system must be declared illegal by all the conscientious Governments of the world, and the World Health Organization ( WHO ) should also issue related directions from its own end. Every mineral water sold in the market must show a printed declaration on the label about the TDS, Total Hardness, Calcium and Magnesium contents. Preferably the values of these four parameters should be around 300, 170, 75 and 30 respectively. The R. O. system for the drinking water should be declared a criminal offence as it strips the water of its life-sustaining mineral content, and health of the consumer suffers irreparable damage despite money being spent by them. This is a case of blatant fraud with consumers. The Test Report ( test data ) on the chemical analysis of Kinley, Aquafina, Kent R.O., etc., waters are being given below ( wherein startling facts about waters are being been revealed ) :
Kinley water : TDS = 12 mg / L ; Total Hardness ( as CaCO3 ) = 12 mg / L ; Calcium ( as Ca ) = Nil ; Magnesium ( as Mg ) = 3 mg / L ; Total Alkalinity ( as CaCO3 ) = 7.5 mg / L ; Silica ( as SiO2 ) = Nil.
Result …………. Highly dangerous to human health.
Aquafina water : TDS = 05 mg / L ; Total Hardness ( as CaCO3 ) = Nil ; Calcium ( as Ca ) = Nil ; Magnesium ( as Mg ) = Nil ; Total Alkalinity ( as CaCO3 ) = 04 mg / L ; Silica ( as SiO2 ) = Nil.
Result …………. Highly dangerous to human health.
Kent R. O. water : TDS = 18 mg / L ; Total Hardness ( as CaCO3 ) = 10 mg / litre ; Calcium ( as Ca ) = 1.5 mg / litre ; Magnesium ( as Mg ) = 1.5 mg / litre ; Total Alkalinity ( as CaCO3 ) = 15 mg / L ; Silica ( as SiO2 ) = 1.0 mg / litre.
Result …………. Highly dangerous to human health.
The chemical analysis data on Mount Kailash water ( Of M/s Peacock Mineral Waters Pvt. Ltd., Faridabad, India ; and “Natural Spring” water ( of M/s G. C. Beverages Pvt. Ltd., Solan, Himachal Pradesh , India ) are also given hereunder :
Mount Kailash water : Total Hardness ( as CaCO3 ) = 50 mg / L ; Silica ( as SiO2 ) = Nil.
“Natural Spring” water : Total Hardness ( as CaCO3 ) = 160 mg / L ; Silica ( as SiO2 ) = Nil.
In the wake of Test Report of CHD, does I. S. certification ( ISI mark ) issued by Bureau of Indian Standards for various drinking water bottles is of any significance ? The consumers must themselves rise to the occasion.
CARELESSNESS SHOWN BY THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE AND MINISTRY OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS OF INDIA
India is not the only country where ‘Water Fraud’ is being played openly and without a single question being raised either by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare or by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution. In fact the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, New Delhi, itself has willingly fallen victim to this water fraud. In the month of March 2007, the Ministry had invited tenders for supplying ‘packaged drinking water’ in 20-Litre-capacity plastic bottles for the consumption by the Ministry’s staff during the summer period ( which is still on…). But while issuing this tender the ministry did not care to think that most of the packaged waters supplied by the water companies, which have of late acquired mushrooming growth, are fully de-mineralized R. O. waters ; and that such waters will eventually ruin the health of ministry’s personnel. Similarly, in the Ministry of Health there are top ranking bosses--Director, Deputy Director, Secretaries, scientists, etc., drawing high salaries---but none has ever tried to apply his / her brain on the hazards of R.O. waters which quite often they are drinking themselves, and are also proudly presenting the same to the honorable ministers while they are in office or when they are speaking at a public function. Similar unawareness is exhibited to and by the honorable judges of all ranks---the Supreme Court, High Court, and the lower courts. If the later category of people---the most valuable force of the country—continues to drink R. O. water, at home or in the office, the impact will be disastrous in the next 5 years or so, as the demineralization of their body system will greatly affect not only their own health but also the health of the judicial system of the country as well. And this fundamental fact invariably applies equally to all the countries of the world.

Hardness of water ( as CaCO3 ) should be around 170 mg / Liter ;
Alkalinity ( as CaCO3 ) also around 170 ;
TDS around 300 mg / L ;
Calcium ( as Ca ) around 70 mg / L ;

Water Wisdom
By Valerie Greene
Would You Drink Water That Could Help You Lose Weight, Reduce Stress, Slow Aging, And Prevent Illness & Disease Like Cancer, Diabetes & Strokes?
We’ve all heard how important water is for our health, especially since 75% of our body is water. But, did you ever consider that the kind of water you drink could be contributing to a host of diseases and health issues? Dr. Mehmet Oz (from the Oprah Show) recently advised the public to safeguard against pollutants lurking in tap water such as fecal matter and other bacteria. Findings also support the undeniable fact that most bottled water is nothing more than tap water and acidic.
DID YOU KNOW …
• Only 2% of the world’s water is drinkable
• An Associated Press investigation found a vast array of pharmaceuticals in the drinking water supplies
• 900 deaths and 900,000 reported illnesses are attributed to tainted water annually
• Researchers believe that some plastic bottles are leaching harmful chemicals into the water
• 33% of bottled water tested contained such high levels of chemicals, bacteria and arsenic that they violated industry standards
While this is disturbing, it warrants our attention and exploration of our options. One option is installing a reverse osmosis (RO) system to purify your drinking water or drinking distilled water. A clean choice, but "Dead" since all the minerals have been removed. Purified (RO) or distilled waters are also unable to penetrate the cellular membrane to hydrate and clean out the cells. Cellular hydration is achieved by a "micro-clustering" process.
Dr. "B" www.WaterCure.com explains: "We’re not sick, we’re thirsty." Most people are not aware that they are dehydrated most of the time. When the body needs water, people drink soft drinks or other beverages instead. The worst thing is, drinking beverages that contain a lot of sugars; people will get even more dehydrated because of the sugar. Most of us are not drinking enough water to flush out the toxins. The only proper way to flush out toxins in the body is by drinking water and not with caffeine or other sugary beverages. When toxins are not flushed out, the body cannot function properly which can lead to the development of sicknesses. – Sacramento Health Examiner
"Water is so simple and so basic that it is easy to overlook…yet it is often the simplest factor that can make the biggest difference."
Dr. Dave Carpenter, Author "Change Your Water Change Your Life"
So, what water should we drink?
Recently, I was introduced to a 35 year old Japanese company named Enagic that manufactures a medical device in Japan that restructures tap water into alkaline, micro-clustered water. My mother gave me a glass of this water known as Kangen water and I couldn’t get enough. It was unlike any water I ever had before. My body craved it. After drinking this water for a couple of weeks I slept soundly for the first time in years since my stroke, my stamina and energy level increased dramatically and my weakened leg and arm muscles grew stronger. Even my speech improved. I began my research and discovered many of the world’s leading health experts - even medical doctors and surgeons - were using and endorsing this technology.
First, let me warn you. There are many look-alikes and knock-offs flooding the internet. They have spent millions to discredit this device saying every imaginable thing to divert and confuse consumers. At first I thought it was just a matter of "you get what you pay for" but it is much more serious. Once I understood the machine that produces Kangen water the difference was astounding! Most other water electrolysis equipment (ionizers) merely produces ionized alkaline water and some are very deceiving. Don’t misunderstand. We should all be drinking alkaline water. However, not all alkaline water is created equal, and Kangen water provides far more.
KANGEN WATER PROPERTIES
• Kangen water is a powerful antioxidant, perhaps more powerful than any single food or vitamin supplement
• Kangen water contains active hydrogen which supplies huge amounts of extra electrons to our body (energy & oxygen)
• Kangen water has tiny micro-clusters so small they can penetrate the cells’ membrane (these micro-clusters are 2,000 times smaller than our cells)
• Kangen water is high in alkaline, measuring in pH @ 9.5 -11.5
Kangen water’s unique characteristics are recognized in medical fields for their effectiveness in assisting the body to rebuild itself from dehydration and the many types of illnesses and diseases that are linked to it.
Some of the areas that people have noticed improvements include arthritis, chronic fatigue, leg cramps, PMS, migraines, diabetes. Also heartburn, poor circulation, gout, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, hot flashes, hypertension, asthma, skin rashes, dermatitis, psoriasis, weight issues, diarrhea, indigestion, heart disease, allergies, acid reflux, constipation, stomach ulcers, hepatitis, cancer, and many more areas have had considerable results.
Once again we are shown how the basic essentials of life – oxygen & water, can support our body’s ability to repair itself. The Kangen Water Technology has been approved for its medical benefits by the Japanese Ministry of Health & Welfare. (The Japanese equivalent of the FDA ).

One of the MANY reasons!!!
One lady shared her story, while doing so, she listed one of the reasons that I LOVE Kangen Water(TM).
Just wanted to let you know that yesterday I cleaned my whole carpet
with the 11.5 - put it in a carpet cleaner machine and I was VERY
impressed with how well it cleaned!! In fact, there was a stain that our
dog left 3 years ago (on her last night with us - she lost everything in
her because of cancer that night) that the professional carpet cleaner
didn't get out, it is about 97% gone!! It has worked for a spot remover
many times, but this was the whole carpet!!! Loved it!!

Do You Drink Soda?
What Happens to Your Body Within an Hour of Drinking a Coke
By Dr. Mercola | January 12 2008
Do you want to be healthy? Drinking soda is bad for your health in so many ways; science can’t even state all the consequences. Here’s what happens in your body when you assault it with a Coke:
Within the first 10 minutes, 10 teaspoons of sugar hit your system. This is 100 percent of your recommended daily intake, and the only reason you don’t vomit as a result of the overwhelming sweetness is because phosphoric acid cuts the flavor.
Within 20 minutes, your blood sugar spikes, and your liver responds to the resulting insulin burst by turning massive amounts of sugar into fat.
Within 40 minutes, caffeine absorption is complete; your pupils dilate, your blood pressure rises, and your livers dumps more sugar into your bloodstream.
Around 45 minutes, your body increases dopamine production, which stimulates the pleasure centers of your brain – a physically identical response to that of heroin, by the way.
After 60 minutes, you’ll start to have a sugar crash.
Sources:
Nutrition Research Center October 24, 2007
Dr. Mercola's Comments:
How many sodas have you had today? How about your kids? As of 2005, white bread was dethroned as the number one source of calories in the American diet, being replaced by soft drinks.
The average American drinks more than 60 gallons of soft drinks each year, but before you grab that next can of soda, consider this: one can of soda has about 10 teaspoons of sugar, 150 calories, 30 to 55 mg of caffeine, and is loaded with artificial food colors and sulphites. Not to mention the fact that it’s also your largest source of dangerous high-fructose modified corn syrup.
Let’s take a look at some of the other major components of a can of soda:
Phosphoric Acid: Which can interfere with the body's ability to use calcium, leading to osteoporosis or softening of the teeth and bones.
Sugar: It is a proven fact that sugar increases insulin levels, which can lead to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes, weight gain, premature aging and many more negative side effects. Most sodas include over 100 percent of the RDA of sugar. Sugar is so bad for your health in so many ways, I even created an entire list outlining 100-Plus Ways in Which Sugar Can Damage Your Health
Aspartame: This chemical is used as a sugar substitute in diet soda. There are over 92 different health side effects associated with aspartame consumption including brain tumors, birth defects, diabetes, emotional disorders and epilispsy/seizures.
Caffeine: Caffeinated drinks cause jitters, insomnia, high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, elevated blood cholesterol levels, vitamin and mineral depletion, breast lumps, birth defects, and perhaps some forms of cancer.
Tap Water: I recommend that everyone avoid drinking tap water because it can carry any number of chemicals including chlorine, trihalomethanes, lead, cadmium, and various organic pollutants. Tap water is the main ingredient in bottled soft drinks.
Clearly, the over-consumption of sodas and sweet drinks is one of the leading causes fueling the world-wide obesity epidemic.
One independent, peer-reviewed study published in the British medical journal The Lancet demonstrated a strong link between soda consumption and childhood obesity. They found that 12-year-olds who drank soft drinks regularly were more likely to be overweight than those who didn't. In fact, for each additional daily serving of sugar-sweetened soft drink consumed during the nearly two-year study, the risk of obesity jumped by 60 percent.
Here’s another sobering fact if you’re struggling with weight issues: Just one extra can of soda per day can add as much as 15 pounds to your weight over the course of a single year!
Other statistics on the health dangers of soft drinks include:
One soda per day increases your risk of diabetes by 85 percent
Soda drinkers have higher cancer risk. While the federal limit for benzene in drinking water is 5 parts per billion (ppb), researchers have found benzene levels as high as 79 ppb in some soft drinks, and of the 100 brands tested, most had at least some detectable level of benzene present
Soda has been shown to cause DNA damage – courtesy of sodium benzoate, a common preservative found in many soft drinks, which has the ability to switch off vital parts of your DNA. This could eventually lead to diseases such as cirrhosis of the liver and Parkinson's.
If you are still drinking soda, stopping the habit is an easy way to improve your health. Pure water is a much better choice, or if you must drink a carbonated beverage, try sparkling mineral water with a squirt of lime or lemon juice.
There is absolutely NO REASON your kids should ever drink soda. None, nada, zip, zero. No excuses. The elimination of soft drinks is one of the most crucial factors to deal with many of the health problems you or your children suffer.
If you struggle with an addiction to soda, (remember, sugar is actually more addictive than cocaine!) I strongly recommend you consider Turbo Tapping as a simple yet highly effective tool to help you stop this health-sucking habit. Turbo Tapping is a simple and clever use of the Emotional Freedom Technique, designed to resolve many aspects of an issue in a concentrated period of time.

Skeletons of Red Bull?
Skeletons in the Corporate Closet: Red Bull
By Diane Bullock

The label on the can makes no mention of heart disease, high blood pressure, or death. Red Bull gives you wings. Harp and halo sold separately.
For the nearly two decades since entering the US market, Red Bull has been running from controversy like a bovine through a Pamplona street. The energy drink has been implicated in a number of serious, even fatal, swigging and swooning incidents all across the globe.
In 1999, 18-year-old Irish basketball player Ross Cooney died of sudden adult death syndrome after a game, when just hours before he'd shared four cans of Red Bull. Two years later, Tim Lloyd, 33, suffered a fatal heart attack after drinking a pitcher of Red Bull and vodka in Hong Kong. Matthew Penbross, a 28-year-old Australian motocross competitor, experienced heart failure at a 2007 event during which he consumed eight cans of Red Bull over a five-hour period. In April 2008, Alfredo Duran, 40, died of cardiac arrest at the end of his night shift in a supermarket in England after drinking up to four cans of Red Bull each night. Five months later, Red Bull may have contributed to the death of 21-year-old Chloe Leach, who collapsed at a dance club in England after imbibing at least four cans of the energy drink along with a vodka drink that also contained caffeine. While the student had an existing heart condition and epilepsy, a neuropathologist said the high levels of caffeine found in her system exacerbated the cardiac arrhythmia that killed her.
Most recently, Brooke Robertson, a 23-year-old Australian new mother, conducted her own Red Bull Super Size Me experiment in order to shed her baby weight and lived on a daily diet of 10 to 14 Red Bulls and a handful of dry cereal for eight months. While she did lose 100 pounds, she also gained a heart attack and ongoing health problems.
All of these dangerous and deadly accounts that include mention of Red Bull beg the question: Do these claims have any scientific proof or is this all just a load of bollocks? Several recent studies testing the effects of Red Bull on cardiovascular functioning have concluded a "Mess with the bull and you'll get the horns" outcome.
A 2008 Australian study found that Red Bull can increase your risk of heart attack or stroke. Just one can of sugar-free Red Bull caused the blood of healthy subjects to become sticky and temporarily raised their cardiovascular risk to levels seen in individuals with cardiovascular disease.
Researchers at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit determined in 2009 that healthy adults who drank two cans a day of energy drinks including Red Bull, Full Throttle (KO), Amp (PEP), and Rush experienced a 10-point increase in blood pressure and a five to seven beat increase in heart rate. Postural tachycardia syndrome (an increase in heart rate of more than 30 bpm within 10 minutes of sitting or standing up) studied in a 16-year-old female volleyball player was found to be induced by Red Bull overuse.
But Red Bull disagrees with such assertions. The company tells Minyanville, "There are no risks associated with the consumption of Red Bull. Red Bull has been on the market for more than 22 years and is now sold in more than 150 countries. In 2009, almost 4 billion cans of Red Bull Energy Drink were sold worldwide. Red Bull could only have such global sales because health authorities across the world have concluded that Red Bull is safe to consume."
So what's inside that skinny eight-ounce red, blue, and silver can? The primary ingredients are sugar, the amino acid taurine, glucuronolactone, and B vitamins. And while the effects of consuming these additives is not fully known, the caffeine (equivalent to one cup of brewed coffee) seems to be the culprit behind troubling reports, especially when consumed in excess. In fact, it's the caffeine in Red Bull that has authors of a Johns Hopkins study urging its regulation.
In 2008, Red Bull courted trouble again when it unveiled a new cola product, pitching, "We simply believe that a cola can also be made from natural ingredients. Just like back in the old days...Thanks to its special recipe, the cola from Red Bull is not just a cola, but a cola of a special kind: strong and natural." When German officials learned one of the ingredients in the cola's special recipe was trace amounts of cocaine, the drink was qualified as a narcotic and banned in several German states.
To be fair, Red Bull's claim of paying homage to the good "old days" of cola is an honest one. How else could Coke have gotten its first customers so hooked?
